Simplifier Release 3.5 Video

You are welcome to watch our video for Release 3.5 in advance. It’s still worth it to continue reading.

Extended configuration options in the Process Designer

In our Simplifier release 3.0 we already introduced our Process Designer 2.0. Now we have also extended the configuration options in the Process Designer:

  • You can now switch the load display for access to connectors or business objects on and off.
  • Mandatory parameters are checked in the mapping dialogs for connectors and business objects.
  • There is a new toolbar including copy & paste function.
  • When saving a user story, the configuration is validated.
  • You can assign external links to user stories, which allows you to link e.g. to an external project management tool.
  • Double-clicking on configuration artifacts now opens the configuration directly.
  • The navigation activity can now also be used for follow-up activities. Transition effects can also be set.
  • You can now search within the Process Dashboard for user stories and widgets.
  • Code in a script activity can be beautified with one click using prettyprint.

New Mobile Actions

For the reading of meters we now support the technology of our partner Pixolus via configuration.

The new mobile action “Background Mode” can be activated in Notifications / Push Messages, so that you are also informed without active use of the Simplifier Mobile Client.

Automatic reloading of the preview

The preview is now automatically updated when saving within the UI Designer every time you click on “Deploy”.

Application configuration level

So that you can really check how much programming effort we avoid through our low-code approach, the degree of configuration is now displayed in percent in the application overview.

Widgets

To avoid that the list of your widgets in the UI Designer becoming too unclear, you can mark widgets that are no longer required as ‘deprecated’. They won’t be displayed in the UI Designer, but they still work in applications that have already been created.

Client-side business objects

Business objects can be executed directly on the browser or on the respective mobile device. They are created centrally and can therefore be reused several times.

To use a client-side business object in the Process Designer, simply activate the corresponding toggle.

Tags of connectors and business objects

Each connector / business object, widget and data type can now be tagged. For example, project-related configuration objects can be tagged with a project name and can therefore be found more efficiently.

New Business Object API incl. Autocompletion

Within a business object, the most common functions can be accessed using a standard API and auto-completion.

Usage of Business Objects and Connectors

For efficient management of dependencies between applications and data from back-end systems, we offer an overview that shows which business object or connector is used by which application.

Revised interface for the configuration of Connectors

We have revised the user interface for the connectors. You can now create, edit and display connectors, connector calls and login methods more easily and clearly.

History of changes for Connectors and Business Objects

Using Log & Monitoring, you can now also see which user last made changes in a business object or connector.

Time-controlled jobs

Simplifier jobs can now be started automatically in several variants: once, daily, weekly or monthly.

Conflict management during import of Transports

When importing Simplifier transports, you will be made aware of potential conflicts. This creates transparency for shared connectors, data types and business objects.

Extended authorization structure and security measures

The administrator can now centrally determine which rights the respective user receives when creating new connectors, applications and business objects.

Security measures

Brute force attacks can now be prevented via the security policies.

Simplifier Universal Client for Android

We have reworked our Simplifier Universal Client for Android to include the same features as in the iOS Universal Client.

In addition to the function that you can work offline with the Simplifier Client or the autostart function for already installed business applications, we now also support the fingerprint sensor for login with Android.

Furthermore, the Android client now appears in a new layout in native Android material design.

Mobile Log

Errors in the Simplifier Mobile Client can now be evaluated centrally and displayed directly within the developer mode.
