Würzburg low-code provider wins for the second time in a row
Würzburg, 31.10.2019Simplifier AG (Würzburg) can once again celebrate a special award this year: At the IT Awards 2019, which were organized by Vogel Medien GmbH for the fifth time, Simplifier received platinum in the Low-Code category.
“This award is something very special for us, as it underlines the awareness and market position of Simplifier in German-speaking countries when it comes to choosing a low-code platform. Above all, it shows that companies are becoming more and more concerned with the topic of low-code,” says Simplifier Marketing Manager Erik Hufeld.
For companies that want to drive their digitalization forward, speed of implementation, efficiency and sustainability are the three key attributes that are specifically supported by low-code.
Low-code also acts as a kind of bridge between IT and the specialist departments. Applications no longer have to be built primarily by the IT or development department. Business department employees with a basic understanding of IT and development – so-called “citizen developers” – can use low-code to create simple applications independently or adapt existing ones to meet current requirements. IT and pro devs, on the other hand, continue to take care of development-critical issues such as app and user management, integration of existing systems or deployment processes between the different instances (development, test and production environment). This is what makes low-code platforms so valuable.

According to a study by the market research company Gartner, over 65% of all applications worldwide will be implemented using low-code platforms by 2024 and Simplifier wants to continue to play an important role in this development.
The core product of Simplifier AG, which won an award at the IT Awards, is the low-code platform of the same name, which makes it easy to create integrated business and IoT applications. “Simplifier provides companies with a tool with a holistic approach,” says Hufeld. “Simplifier covers the entire application lifecycle from creation and integration to management and deployment as well as automated testing, maintenance and optimization with just one platform.”
