Yes. Simplifier can be deployed entirely on-premises, in a private cloud, in a public cloud, or as a managed service. On-premises means that the platform runs on your own infrastructure—container-based and without any requirement to use external cloud services.
By default, Simplifier processes cloud data in EU data centers, specifically in Germany. Operations in Frankfurt are documented. Other EU locations should be reviewed on a case-by-case basis depending on the operating model and contract. Regarding GDPR requirements: Simplifier supports data-sovereign operating models; specific compliance depends on the setup.
Yes, Simplifier is designed for flexible operating models. Switching between on-premises, hybrid, private cloud, or managed cloud is generally possible, but it requires technical planning, migration, and alignment with the target architecture. The goal is to operate without a strategic platform change.
Yes. Simplifier can run on the SAP BTP Kyma environment. At the same time, SAP BTP remains optional: Companies can also run Simplifier independently of BTP—on-premises, in a hybrid environment, or in the cloud.
No. Simplifier can orchestrate SAP and non-SAP processes even without requiring BTP. BTP can be used if it aligns with the SAP strategy—for example, for Kyma or SAP Build Work Zone. However, platform operations are not inherently tied to BTP.
In an on-premises deployment, Simplifier runs entirely on your own infrastructure. There is no mandatory dependency on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. Data processing, monitoring, and operations can be managed locally—a key advantage for data sovereignty, compliance, and strategic IT control.
Simplifier runs in a container-based environment using Docker. For on-premises installations, requirements include Linux, Docker Engine, a database, an HTTPS proxy, and storage. Simplifier also supports various cloud and PaaS scenarios, including SAP BTP Kyma.
That depends on the operating model. With Simplifier Cloud or Managed Service, Simplifier handles key operational tasks such as availability, patching, backup, restore, and security. With on-premises or private cloud operations, the customer bears greater responsibility for infrastructure, backup, networking, hardening, updates, and monitoring.
