These reasons favor low-code platforms
Why it is worth looking beyond the end of one’s nose.
Make the right decision when choosing your low-code platform
Meanwhile, there are several low-code solutions on the market – but beware: not all that glitters is gold. As with all platforms, there are also black sheeps out there, therefore the decision in favour of a platform should be well considered.
White Paper – Low-Code Platforms
How to successfully implement digitization projects using the key success factors team, method and tool (low-code platforms)!
Can your company benefit from low-code?
How, where, what? All about Low-Code!
For many, the term “low-code” is initially unimaginable. Numerous questions arise, such as: What is the significance of low-code for the digitalisation of my company? How can I create applications with it? And most of all: which ones? Is it really as simple as everyone promises?
A simple example in 6 steps
To give you a better feel for the importance of low-code, we show you how the use of a low-code platform can have a positive impact on your company’s day-to-day work with the example on the right.
How does low-code speed up the creation of applications?
Low-code is more than a technology that automates the manual creation of source code. Low-code also always means process optimisation: by enabling employees to work together more effectively, workflows can be implemented more quickly and easily.
Add to this the technological advantage: with Simplifier, for example, almost all tasks, content, settings, designs, logics, etc. can be configured using a standardised user interface. This simple and fast approach offers many advantages.
To ensure that low-code also works, the technology must be integrated into the company’s daily activities. The employees of the business units who use low-code (Citizen Developers), together with the IT department, finally build a new powerful team.
What can be realised with low-code?
In fact, almost everything. Because with a high-quality low-code platform, both simple and very complex applications can be created.
A major advantage arises primarily in the optimisation of processes regardless of the industry. An employee, for example, spends around 25 hours in the office on administrative office tasks . Besides that, processes that do not run in accordance with plans often result in unnecessary overtime (49 %) or in project delays (41 %). Many of these workflows are repetitive and often paper-based tasks such as filling out forms, archiving documents, gathering information, obtaining approvals, issuing releases, tracking shipments, and more.
All these time consuming processes can easily be digitalised and optimised using a low-code platform for creating new flexible applications.
Never say never!
A modern low-code platform does not limit possibilities – it opens them up to new ones. So don’t let them tell you that low-code is just hype, it is the logical evolution of modern and flexible application development.

When is a low-code platform worthwhile?
A low-code platform becomes useful if you are pursuing a digitisation strategy and want to create applications on a regular base. The following criteria argue for its use:
When is it not worth using a low-code platform?
If these criteria do not apply to you, we do not recommend the implementation of a low-code platform in your company. However, there is no need to completely forego it; instead, if you want to benefit from low-code but are at the beginning of a digitisation process and want to start with just a few smaller applications, our low-code partners will help you implementing it.
Make the right decision
Low code does not always equate to low code!
Meanwhile, there are many different low-code providers on the market. But some of what is called low-code is actually not a low-code platform at all. Often, this technology is only used in a partial context instead of implementing the complete mapping of an application lifecycle management (ALM). For example, some of them only support the workflow management or the modeling of business processes. But typical things that should be supported with a low-code platform when building apps are possibilities for creating user interfaces, defining processes, and integrating and connecting systems for utilizing data. And if you want to have a platform that can be the central tool that doesn’t limit you in building apps from the very beginning to deployment and subsequent processes, then a multi-experience development platform, as Simplifier is, should be more in your focus.
Of course, there are also solutions that don’t require any coding skills – so-called no-code platforms, but this fact and the associated drawbacks should definitely be clear to you. If you want to have more possibilities in the flexible creation of applications, you cannot choose a no-code platform, for these requirements you would be too limited and run into a dead end. While these promise greater time savings, they have limited flexibility and are therefore not a real alternative.
For this reason, we have developed Simplifier. A low-code platform that is simple and fast – and that flexibly adapts to your business.
