The Open Day at AZO, hosted by All for One, offered a detailed insight into the company’s digitalization strategy and showed how modern IT architecture and specific use cases are implemented in reality. Together with our CEO Reza Etemadian and Karl Haag, we were on site and were able to get a comprehensive picture of the app landscape and system structures.
A transparent view of the digital transformation
AZO openly revealed which topics are driving digitalization forward. These include the upcoming big bang conversion to SAP S/4HANA, the development of an AI platform, the further development of the low-code app world and ensuring a high level of security in accordance with ISO 27001. The event was accompanied by All for One and presented different perspectives from IT, specialist departments and management.
The initial situation was characterized by analogue or partially analogue processes, high coordination effort and a lack of transparency in critical process steps. The aim of digitalization is to reduce these points of friction and create an integrated, comprehensible and scalable system landscape.
Three use cases from the AZO app world
The core of the Open Day was the presentation of specific digital applications that are used in day-to-day operations. Three of these use cases show particularly clearly how digitalization works at AZO.
Use Case 1: Material and component tracking from packaging to assembly
Materials and components are recorded digitally and tracked across all relevant steps. The entire process, from goods receipt to assembly, is mapped digitally throughout. Employees receive complete transparency about stocks, processes and status information.
Use Case 2: Colli formation and delivery process
AZO digitizes the formation of collis and the subsequent transition to delivery. An app supports the correct allocation of components, visualizes relevant information and documents each processing step. This reduces errors, cuts down on queries and speeds up coordination between logistics and production.
Use case 3: Digital construction site diary
AZO uses a digital construction site diary to document progress, material consumption and other activities directly on site. The data is integrated into the system landscape without media discontinuity. This improves data quality, ensures uniform documentation and reduces manual rework.
Why Simplifier is a central component of the architecture
The use cases presented illustrated the role that low code plays in AZO’s digital system landscape. Simplifier is the tool for implementing new applications quickly, optimizing existing processes and connecting systems efficiently.
Key advantages:
– Deep SAP integration
– Visual modeling to integrate specialist departments
– Reduced development effort
– Fast and flexible deployment
– Controlled governance to ensure consistent applications
– Integration of existing systems without additional silos
Low Code is therefore a strategic building block in the combination of SAP, AI platform and digital process automation.
Conclusion
The Open Day at AZO provided a practical demonstration of how digitalization can be implemented in a structured, scalable and sustainable manner. The combination of modern IT architecture, clear processes and flexible tools creates a resilient basis for future developments.
We would like to thank AZO and All for One for the invitation and the open insights. The event confirms the importance of low code and integrated platforms in modern IT landscapes and how they support companies in aligning their processes efficiently and sustainably.
