Simplifier sets course for strategic focus and successfully continues company growth

Würzburg

Simplifier operates in a rapidly growing market. Analyst firm Forrester predicted overall growth of 50 percent in the low-code market in 2021. The IT-focused market research company Gartner predicted market growth of almost 30 percent for low-code platforms alone in 2021. The forecasts not only show that low-code is becoming increasingly established and gaining in importance, but also that demand for platforms is rising significantly. It is therefore all the more pleasing that Simplifier has also exceeded the comparative figures in the 2021 financial year and has once again significantly expanded its license business. With growth of almost 60 percent, the Swiss francs are significantly above market values. This success is based on successful acquisitions of major customers such as Felix Schöller, JAB and Preh.

Handover of the network portal to BTC and strengthening of partner cooperation

In December 2021, the low-code provider and the Oldenburg IT company BTC announced the takeover of the Simplifier-based network portal solution by BTC Business Technology Consulting AG in January 2022. After many years of close cooperation between the partners, the companies decided to take over the portal from BTC and intensify their strategic partnership as a result. This will enable the development of the network portal solution to be driven forward in the best possible way. At the same time, Simplifier has strengthened its strategic focus on its core product.

Overall, close cooperation with implementation and sales partners is an important pillar in Simplifier’s sales mix, which has been strengthened since the previous financial year by the expansion of partner management, among other things.

Setting the course for future growth

The Würzburg-based company is actively driving forward the further development of its corporate strategy and continuously expanding the expertise available within the company. The newly appointed Advisory Board will be a key element of this from 2022. With their in-depth expertise in the areas of software, energy and industry, the three members will support the low-code provider in the strategic expansion of its business activities. From 2022, industry expert Thomas Dieringer, Dr. Markus Litpher, CEO of Lechwerke AG, and Thomas Fischer, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Mann+Hummel, will make their expertise available to the low-code provider.

We look forward to working with the Advisory Board. Their many years of expertise and comprehensive understanding of the various sectors are of great importance to us. Together, we would like to use them to strengthen and further expand our position not only in the German-speaking region, but also in the entire European market.

Focus on strong product and active community

In the current financial year, Simplifier is focusing even more strongly on the platform of the same name and the constantly growing community. The company laid an important foundation for this last winter by strengthening the product team, which will now also be responsible for marketing the platform.

We always focus on our product. That is why we are continuously developing our platform to make it easier for our users to use and to enable them to work efficiently.

The version released in May 2022 impresses with numerous new functions and optimized features in the areas of integration, interaction and governance.

The low-code provider’s Marketplace has also been updated. Since the relaunch on May 1, numerous ready-to-use components, from ready-made interfaces to use case templates, have been available for the community to download.

The Marketplace is at the heart of our platform and we are delighted that it has been so well received shortly after its relaunch.

Sustainability is also an essential factor in the software sector these days. With the Marketplace, we offer our customers the opportunity to make their applications not only faster, but also future-proof and thus drive forward their digitization strategy in terms of composable business.

Success through collaboration

The Würzburg-based company relies on close cooperation for the further development of the company and the low-code market.

We see that low-code and citizen development are becoming increasingly important for partners and customers. The principle applies here: use cases create use cases. With every implemented application, there are new ideas for further applications. That is why it is important for us to exchange ideas with customers and partners, but also with each other. We want to push this even more in future and continue to promote low-code as the optimal solution for the development of business applications.
