Mannheim sugar manufacturer to use Simplifier for application creation in future
It goes without saying that digitalization is also a high priority for one of Germany’s largest food companies. Südzucker AG (Mannheim) has now decided to work with the Würzburg-based low-code manufacturer Simplifier to create the necessary applications even more quickly and easily.
Südzucker’s aim is to support business processes efficiently and sustainably with mobile applications (apps) that are used throughout the company. After the company looked into the topic of cloud-based apps, the low-code approach emerged as a suitable way to implement this even more easily. A low-code platform such as Simplifier enables Südzucker employees to create mobile applications in an SAP-like environment and integrate them profitably into the business processes.
Due to the highly overgrown SAP system landscape, Südzucker is dependent on a technology that enables the use of SAP data in particular through simple integration when creating company applications. As the technology provider from Würzburg itself has strong SAP expertise and has incorporated this experience into the development of its own product from the outset, Südzucker also recognized the advantages that Simplifier offers in this respect. The low-code platform also opens up further possibilities for connecting a wide range of backend systems. “The possibility of full SAP integration and simple and intuitive usability were just as important to us when choosing a low-code platform as independence from the provider. This was a given with Simplifier,” says Birgit Wellenreuther (Head of IT Business Application) at Südzucker.
The Südzucker managers were able to see the benefits and quality of the Simplifier product for themselves during a “proof of value” on site in Mannheim.
Among other things, the use of web technology in Simplifier and the high degree of flexibility and independence that Simplifier brings with it were well received. The low-code technology can be used for any end device and any operating system. In addition, you retain control over the source code of the applications in the long term.
