Intershop and Simplifier: Optimum integration through low-code

A pleasant shopping experience is crucial for online retail. The customer experience and interaction with the store must run smoothly. To achieve this, the various processes in the background must function flawlessly. An important prerequisite for this is the seamless integration of the necessary systems. In order to optimize this component, Intershop has decided to use the Simplifier and uses the low-code platform as an integration hub.

Starting signal for the collaboration

Intershop’s attention was drawn to Simplifier by the need to find an optimal solution to the challenges often associated with integration processes. The company was aware of the platform’s capabilities. On this basis, the company decided to examine the possibilities that Simplifier could offer in the area of integration. In particular, the possibility of optimizing this complex process with the help of a low-code platform was met with great interest.

“The proof of value not only allowed us to check the technical aspects of the platform, but also to get to know the Simplifier team. We were impressed by the technology and the team: top technology, excellent expertise and a friendly, collaborative partnership.

– Nils Breitmann, Principle Enterprise Architect, Intershop

Shared successes and future prospects

The Simplifier platform was successfully implemented in the Intershop Integration Hub shortly after the start of the collaboration. The low-code platform thus enables the seamless connection of ERP and CRM systems as well as suppliers and other system of record sources to Intershop’s commerce system. The Intershop team used the community and in particular the virtual courses offered by the low-code provider to familiarize themselves with the platform and ensure smooth processes.

“We quickly found our way around and were able to try out a lot independently right from the start. Simplifier opens up many possible applications for our team – we won’t run out of ideas any time soon.

– Nils Breitmann, Principle Enterprise Architect, Intershop
