With its S/4HANA transformation, automotive supplier ElringKlinger is taking the next logical step towards a clean core, or rather a “lean core”: the introduction of SAP BTP as an extensibility layer in combination with the low-code platform Simplifier will create an agile, scalable IT landscape that maintains standards while still offering scope for individual solutions. With Simplifier, the company has found a unique tool in this combination of services: true Fiori compatibility, integration of SAP and third-party providers, no vendor lock and maximum freedom.
The result: 19 apps and workflows were created in just a few months. Whether paperless hospitality applications, which now run on tablets, or EWM integrations that combine several systems in one interface. For ElringKlinger, Simplifier reduces complexity, creates speed and turns IT into a strategic enabler. By 2026, 70-100 applications are to be created, embedded in a well thought-out architecture strategy. Whether RFC, OData, SAP DM, Ariba, Salesforce or Teamcenter – ElringKlinger is orchestrating a future-proof end-to-end system world in which digitalization is not fragmented, but efficiently networked.
Low-code is not a tool here, but an important architectural component.
