Digital instead of paperwork:

Simplifier as a process optimizer on the store floor.

Today, Hako is one of the world’s leading providers of services for cleaning technology, municipal technology and water jetting technology. Production processes are complex and varied – from stock items in large quantities to batch size 1. But the reality was analog for a long time: Lists, Excel files and manually maintained work boards determined everyday life. Information was often not synchronized, which led to inefficient processes and a lack of transparency.

With a digitalization initiative and the support of Simplifier, store floor management was consistently rethought. Digital team boards, mobile iPad solutions for fault reporting and a central work board dashboard are now in use – all of which can be customized, used anywhere and, of course, integrated into SAP. Thanks to Simplifier, applications can be flexibly expanded, used directly on end devices and easily connected to machine technology. At the same time, clear governance ensures that transparency becomes a valid basis for planning rather than monitoring. The main site in Bad Oldesloe was digitized first, followed by other plants. The biggest challenge was the standardization of site-specific processes – but the end result is a uniform, future-proof approach across the company with a common, digital information base for everyone.
