Problem

  • The apps developed by Citizen Developers do not have access to the IT department’s ticket system, but would need one in order to coordinate optimization work
  • In addition, there is no simple and straightforward way for users to report problems with an application directly to it
  • As a result, the IT support team was repeatedly put under heavy strain, even though the requests could also have been handled by Citizen Developers

Solution

  • The ticket system allows users to easily report problems with an app to Citizen Developers
  • The app consists of a stand-alone part, i.e. the dashboard, in which all reports are collected, and a modular part. The latter is a “Report an Issue” button that can be integrated into any number of apps according to the plug-and-play principle
  • Citizen Developers can decide for themselves whether to create a ticket or contact the user directly to help them in another way

Implementing the IT ticketing system in existing apps and websites is very easy thanks to the modular feature . Bugs and problems can now be resolved more quickly as the reporting process has been added. Citizen developers and the IT support team have an overview of the problems encountered by users at all times, across multiple apps.
