Problem

  • The inventory of (large) assets is a time-consuming and repetitive process that was handled via distributed Excel lists that were sent to all relevant stakeholders for completion
  • This meant that there was no central, constantly updated overview in which data was available in real time
  • It was often unclear who was responsible for a particular cost center because this information was not stored in the SAP system

Solution

  • With Simplifier, an app was realized that aggregates current data via a direct data retrieval from the SAP system and provides it in a central overview
  • This means that the current status of the inventory can be viewed at any time and photos of the assets can be uploaded directly to the SAP system
  • In addition, the app provides an overview and a management option for the responsibilities of the various cost centers

The app saves time and costs, as manual maintenance in Excel is no longer necessary and all data can be accessed centrally in real time.
