A lot of communication is required when planning absences and there are often discrepancies due to transmission errors in the various systems and calendars
Lack of transparency in the approval process as well as the respective approval status and actual absences stand in the way of valid planning
Employees also want a reliable, up-to-date overview of their respective vacation phases that is available at all times and an uncomplicated way to apply for their own vacation

Solution

The app developed with Simplifier is directly connected to the SAP system and therefore also saves all vacation times directly here
Employees can now simply submit their vacation request via a selection in the calendar and at the same time receive an overview of the daily quota still available
Supervisors are informed when a new application is received and can view, approve or reject all employeeapplications to be managed in a separate view.

The app enables the use of a central system for clear vacation planning. This creates significantly more transparency regarding staff availability, as all requests and their status can be viewed in real time. Administrators can also create and manage substitutions for vacation periods so that responsibilities are clearly visible at all times.
