Würzburg, September 14th 2023 – Simplifier, one of the leading low-code providers in Germany, experiences remarkable growth and opens new business opportunities through extended networks. Its growing customer base reflects this, including companies such as Poco, Max Weißhaupt and Hako. Simplifier also recently released version 8 of its platform. The new version offers a number of powerful innovations and enhancements that further expand the potential of low-code and embed Digital Process Automation (DPA) in the platform. At the same time, Simplifier is expanding the possibilities of low-code and in the production environment using artificial intelligence as part of the promising IIoT research project LoKI.

The strategic investments in Simplifier by PwC Holdings Germany GmbH and Possehl Digital impact not only financially, but also lead to new business opportunities through a substantial expansion of the company’s network. The growth achieved exceeds expectations and continues a promising trend for the current fiscal year. This positive development is also reflected in the growing number of customers acquired through the investor network. Major companies such as Poco, Max Weißhaupt and Hako are now part of the customer base.

“The cooperation with established companies such as Poco, Max Weißhaupt and Hako confirms our position as one of the leading low-code providers. Simplifier remains on track for success by creating added value for our customers.”

Innovative functions to strengthen Digital Process Automation (DPA)

Simplifier 8.0 presents itself as a comprehensive DPA suite that aims to fully leverage the potential of digital process automation and help companies make their business processes more efficient and agile.

“Simplifier 8.0 embodies our commitment to enable easier application development while providing the highest level of flexibility and ease of use.”

Christian Kleinschroth, CTO, Simplifier AG

The introduction of Simplifier Workflows enables basic business users to model as well as digitally execute business processes. The training effort is reduced by 90% compared to established workflow solutions. Thanks to reuse of Simplifier integration, business processes can still work with a variety of external data sources from ERP to MES systems.

“Our customers’ success stories are an excellent benchmark for the performance of our platform. Simplifier 8.0 significantly increases operational efficiency and agility and enables additional return on investments for our customers.”

Intelligent transformation of production

Simplifier launches “LoKi” (Low-Code Components for the Development of AI Assistance Systems), a pioneering IIoT project that aims to create a low-code AI platform for future industrial applications. The goal of the publicly funded project, which is being conducted in cooperation with the SKZ Plastics Research Institute, is to facilitate the use of AI for process optimization and increase the efficiency of manufacturing processes.

Highlights include customizable low-code components for seamless deployment of AI models in containers, explainable AI components combined with visualizations for transparent AI decision-making processes, and a robust OPCUA connector for automatic machine data acquisition. This enables effortless data-based analysis for industrial applications.

The usability of the developed low-code AI platform is demonstrated in this project using an application in the injection molding process. SKZ trained AI models will be used. The goal is to develop innovative low-code components to improve manufacturing processes using automatic data acquisition, AI model training and recommendation modules to significantly increase efficiency.

“LoKi forges the path towards a widespread use of AI for intelligent industrial production processes. I am sure of the transformative potential of this project, as this will enable easy access to AI based data analysis for companies without expertise in AI training or deployment.”

Timo Grunemann, Senior Scientist , SKZ

“By going ‘LoKi’ we are paving the way for the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) and enabling intelligent, data-driven decision-making processes. This project underlines our innovative strength and makes a significant contribution to the industrial transformation of our customers and business partners.”
